Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

1. Overview

Zeitgeist Confidential uses a minimal, strictly-necessary cookie architecture. This policy explains which cookies are used, why they are necessary, and how different areas of the Platform handle cookie usage. The Platform operates two distinct environments with fundamentally different cookie policies: the administrative dashboard (which requires authentication) and the anonymous reporting portal (which does not use cookies of any kind).

2. Anonymous Reporting Portal — Zero Cookies

Critical Privacy Guarantee

the anonymous reporting portals do not utilise tracking cookies, advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or any form of client-side persistent storage. Your interaction within the reporting wizard remains entirely unmonitored.

The following are explicitly prohibited on all reporting portal routes:

  • HTTP cookies (Set-Cookie headers are not issued by the portal API)
  • localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or any Web Storage API
  • Third-party tracking scripts (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, etc.)
  • Fingerprinting scripts (canvas, WebGL, font enumeration, etc.)
  • Advertising networks or ad-tech cookies

This is enforced at multiple levels: the application code does not set cookies on portal routes, the Content-Security-Policy header blocks third-party script injection, and the Referrer-Policy header (no-referrer) ensures that navigating away from the portal does not reveal the portal URL to any destination site.

3. Administrative Dashboard — Essential Cookies Only

The administrative dashboard uses a single essential cookie to maintain authenticated sessions. No optional, analytical, or marketing cookies are used.

4. What We Do Not Use

For full transparency, the following cookie and tracking technologies are not used by Zeitgeist Confidential on any part of the Platform:

  • Google Analytics or any web analytics service
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook) or any social media tracking
  • Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or any heatmap/session recording tool
  • Google Tag Manager or any tag management system
  • Advertising cookies or retargeting pixels
  • Third-party fonts that load from external servers with tracking parameters
  • CDN-side analytics or edge logging of user behaviour

5. Managing Cookies

Since Zeitgeist Confidential uses only a single essential cookie for dashboard authentication, there is no cookie preference centre or opt-in/opt-out toggle. If you wish to manage cookies:

  • •Dashboard users may clear the tt-session cookie at any time via browser settings. This will log you out of the dashboard.
  • •Reporting portal visitors do not need to take any action — no cookies are set.
  • •Most browsers allow you to block all cookies by default. This will not affect the reporting portal but will prevent dashboard login.

6. Changes to This Policy

If Zeitgeist Confidential ever introduces non-essential cookies (for example, if a future feature requires them), this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented before such cookies are deployed. Material changes will be communicated to tenants via email.
